MVA on INT 95

On Thursday January 17th Bensalem Emergency Medical Services was dispatched to Northbound I-95 for the report of crash involving a car and truck. One of victims who was heavily entrapped was extricated by the Cornwells and Newportville Fire Companies. Paramedics from Bensalem EMS treated two patients, one of which was transported by a Pennstar helicopter.


Car Crashes into Bensalem CVS

On May 1st Medic 185 responded with Station 44 on the report of a vehicle into a building. Crews arrived to find one suv into the wall of the CVS Pharmacy. There was moderate structural damage to the building, however no injuries were found on location.


Bensalem EMS Sends Team to Virginia for Rescue Challenge

Bensalem Emergency Medical Services sent a team to Roanoke Virginia to test their skills in Technical Rescue from May 5 to May 8. The team, consisting of career and volunteer staff, assisted the team from MeadWestvaco Rescue of Covington Virginia. Together they participated in eight different challenges, testing their technical rescue skills. This year the team completed two cave rescues, a trench rescue, confined space rescue, structural collapse shoring and rescue and a high angle rescue. This is the third year that members of Bensalem have participated in this with the Westvaco team.
